Dursun Karatas, leader of the far left DHKP-C died in hospital in the Netherlands on Tuesday, Turkey's state-run Anatolian Agency reported on Tuesday.
Karatas had been under treatment for cancer in a clinic in the Netherlands for a long time.
The DHKP-C is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey and some countries including the United States.
