According to the poll conducted among 7,615 people on March 14-15 by the KONDA polling institution, The main opposition Republican Peoples Party (CHP) will come second with 23.5 percent, followed by the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) with 14.3 percent.       Â
The most accurate election outcome results came from a KONDA poll conducted ahead of the 2007 general elections.
A second poll, conducted among 5,412 people by the A&G polling institution, gave Thursday the AKP 39.8 percent of the vote, the CHP 26.4 percent and the MHP 15.7 percent.Â
If the AKP won 40 percent of the vote, it would be the first time the party has not improved on its previous electoral performance since it swept to power in 2002.
The AKP won 46.6 percent in the 2007 general elections, while the support to the CHP was 20.88 percent and 14.27 percent to the MHP.
