French prime minister to visit Turkey

ANKARA – French Prime Minister Francois Fillon will pay a formal visit to Turkey in July upon the invitation of his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, diplomats said yesterday.
French officials want to set the date following elections at the European Parliament in June, in a move to block possible propaganda by politicians against Turkey's EU membership, analysts said.
