BODRUM - This time it will not be a competition between people or animals that will keep the jury busy. It is time for picking Bodrum’s most festive place.
Applications have already started to be received eligible for the 13th "Best Lighting and Decorations" competition, held by the Bodrum Municipality to try to ensure the city has a brighter appearance during winter months.
The results will be revealed at an award ceremony to be held in the first week of January following evaluations by a jury that includes prominent architects, landscape architects and academics from the faculty of fine arts at Muğla University,.
"We hope these businesses that create a different understanding of beauty and activity in the town, will be a model for others," said Mazlum Ağan, Bodrum’s mayor.
"We will thank those businesses that are open during winter months, a sacrifice by operators," he added.
