New momentum The Africa policy, an initiative launched by 2005, has made significant contributions to economic and commercial ties between Turkey and Africa. The first Africa-Turkey cooperation summit, held in August in Istanbul, gave new momentum to this policy. Moreover, Turkey's candidacy for a Security Council non-permanent member seat at the United Nations also gave the country fresh impetus to develop its relations with African countries.
Moreover, new embassies will also be opened in Bogota, the capital city of Colombia, in Lima, Peru and Valetta, Malta |
