Turkey to hold direct talks with N. Iraq administration on PKK
The Turkish government would hold direct talks with the regional administration in the northern Iraq in its fight against the terror organization, PKK, CNN Turk reported on Friday.

Such a move would signal a significant shift in Turkey's approach to the Kurdish administration in northern Iraq.

CNN Turk cited sources close to matter and said the talks would be held on "joint fight against a joint enemy."

Ankara has long accused Iraqi Kurds of harboring and aiding the terror organization PKK, whose militants use bases in the mountains of northern Iraq to launch attacks across the border; however started indirect contacts in end-2007.
