A private aeroplane (model number Beechcraft 400) flying from Sheremet’evo Airport II in Moscow to Istanbul and carrying Turkish businessmen, received instructions from the control tower to enter the 3000 metre ‘air corridor’ immediately after take off.

Following orders from the control tower, the Turkish plane reached 3000 metres. But it continued to ascend, entering the same flight corridor as Air France’s giant Airbus-321 passenger carrier.  The control tower realised the Turkish pilot’s mistake and warned that only 2000m metres separated the planes.
