What Pope Benedict XVI will say in Turkey

Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, the Vatican's secretary for relations with states and de facto foreign minister, was doing advance work for Pope Benedict XVI's upcoming visit to Turkey in a recent interview with Avvenire, a Catholic daily newspaper. According to Archbishop Mamberti, in his major address the pope is expected to express his appreciation of Muslims and voice his wish for cooperation between faiths for the good of humanity. The pope will also emphasise the need for freedom of faith in Turkey.
