Clashes which occured two nights ago in the German capital Berlin between a group of nearly 80 Turkish and Arab youths and police force resulted in the injury of 2 police force members, and the arrest of just one person. According to a statement from the police, the clashes occured after the arrest of two 12 year old Turkish children who had been trying to steal another youth's MP3 player.

When police attempted to put the two 12 year olds into a police car and take them to the local station for questioning, a large crowd of mostly Turkish and Arab youths gathered to try and prevent the police from doing so. Two police force members were hurt by flying stones and punches, while a 23 year old youth from the crowd was also taken under arrest. The two 12 year olds were later returned to their families.
