Barzani: Kurds Will Control Kirkuk In 2007

The president of the Kurdish region Massoud Barzani has infuriated Turkey by saying that in 2007 the Kurdish administration of Northern Iraq would acquire the control of Kirkuk. Barzani noted that December 15 elections were vital for stability in Iraq. Foreign Minister Abdullah Gül has voiced reactions to the words of Barzani, saying that Barzani was not entitled to make decisions about Kirkuk.
