Break-time bloodshed in girls toilets

A 16-year old girl has been stabbed and hospitalized by her friend, who accused the girl of smoking in the girls toilets. The incident took place during break time yesterday morning in the girls? toilets at Sitki Kulak School of Primary Education in Adana. According to claims, 16 year-old seventh grader, O.K. told Y.A, a fellow 7th grader of the same age, ?You are smoking?, when she saw her in the girls? toilets. An argument began between O.K. and Y.A., who claimed she was not smoking. The heated argument lead to O.K. stabbing Y.A. in the shoulder and the leg with a pen-knife she was carrying on her person.

Cause for alarm
Hearing the screams coming from the toilets, teachers arrived, and took Y.A. to Adana Specimen Hospital, where she received first aid, and was then under the close observation of doctors. Police took O.K. to a Young Offenders department, where it was stated that O.K. suffered psychological problems and that she had previously argued with her friend for another reason.
