American airplane industry giant Boeing has published a report which calculates that the Turkish air industry will purchase between 160 and 180 new airplanes over the next 10 years. The Boeing report also noted that the Turkish air industry is growing at a rate two times as fast as the world average, with a particular increase in the level of chartered flights abroad and nationally. Said Randy Baseler, head of Boeing's Marketing department, "The economic development in Turkey is affecting the air industry positively. Our estimation is that by 2015, Turkey's air fleet will be twice as large, and will have at least 280 planes."

Boeing has expressed the goal of capturing at least 50% of the projected growth in the Turkish air industry.
