Another parliamentary deputy quit yesterday, citing serious differences of opinion with the ruling party and anti-democratic governance within the party itself.

Suleyman Saribasi, a deputy from Malatya resigned from the Justice and Development Party (AKP) saying that he could no longer support the ideology of the party.
"Despite repeated efforts to voice concerns over major issues, we were no longer being heard. There is no point to continue when we can not contribute anything tangible to the party."
Following Sarbasi's resignation AKP now has 365 seats in parliament.
